About

Welcome! Congratulations in taking your first step to heal and grow. My name is Genesis Espinoza. I am a Latina bilingual therapist who was born and raised in the San Fernando valley. I love pupusas, tacos, going to the beach, and spending time with my pets. I specialize in working with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, and PTSD and have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Brainspotting, Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) to help individuals in their healing journey. I strongly believe that the catalyst for change lies in the therapeutic relationship. In sessions, I implement a humanistic, empathetic, and client-centered approach and collaborate with individuals in finding solutions and goal attainment in treatment. I also provide immigration psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases such as VAWA (domestic violence), asylum, extreme hardship waivers, U-Visa, T-visa, and cancellation of removal applications. Reach out for a free 15 minute phone consultation to talk about your therapy questions and see if I could help you with your particular needs.
