Bienvenida/o—and congratulations on taking your first step toward healing and growth.
My name is Genesis Espinoza, and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Latina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. I’m a daughter, a mama, and someone who deeply understands the experience of being first-generation and navigating multiple identities. I also love the simple things—pupusas, tacos, beach days, and spending time with my daughter and loved ones.
I specialize in working with first-generation Latina/x women, first-time mamas, children of immigrants, millennials, and individuals healing from trauma. Many of my clients come to therapy carrying the weight of generational patterns, cultural expectations, and past experiences—and are ready to create something different for themselves and their families.
I am a Certified EMDR therapist and trained in Brainspotting, both powerful, body-based approaches that help process trauma beyond just talking about it. My work focuses on helping you reduce anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and trauma responses, while also supporting you in building healthier patterns, stronger boundaries, and a deeper sense of self.
I strongly believe that healing happens in relationship. In our sessions, I provide a warm, culturally responsive, and client-centered space where you can show up as your full self—without judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative, and together we will work toward your goals in a way that honors both your lived experiences and your cultural values.
In addition to therapy, I provide immigration psychosocial evaluations for cases including VAWA, asylum, extreme hardship waivers, U-Visa, T-Visa, and cancellation of removal. I approach this work with deep care, cultural humility, and an understanding of the unique challenges within immigrant communities.
If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
Con cariño,
Genesis Espinoza, LMFT
