About Erika Tecolocoyotl Rincon (AMFT)

Hi, I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #156826) and somatic therapist offering trauma-informed, body-centered, and earth-connected therapy. My approach integrates Processwork, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Indigenous-informed perspectives, and a decolonial lens to support people in reconnecting with their inner wisdom, resilience, and sense of belonging.

My path into this work comes from my own healing journey, where I learned the importance of slowing down, listening to the body, and honoring the relationships that support our well-being. I see healing as cyclical and relational—something that unfolds over time and in connection with ourselves and others.

I work with people navigating uncertainty, emotional pain, or a sense of disconnection who are looking for something deeper than talk therapy. Many seek grounding, embodiment, and clarity as they move through transitions, anxiety, grief, or trauma. My role is to offer a safe, compassionate space where your body’s signals guide the pace and direction of the work.

In sessions, I integrate somatic awareness, mindfulness, and gentle grounding practices to help you reconnect with your body and expand your window of tolerance. Through attention to sensation, breath, and emotion, we explore what’s underneath the overwhelm and support your nervous system in finding more stability, ease, and self-trust.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, relational, and culturally grounded. I hold space with curiosity and respect, acknowledging the impact of intergenerational and systemic stress while centering your strengths, values, and lived experience.

As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I honor the diversity within Latinx and Indigenous communities and offer affirming care for BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ clients seeking an inclusive environment.

Therapy with me is an invitation to slow down, be present with yourself, and reconnect with what feels true and supportive. It’s not about fixing you—it’s about finding balance, connection, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

If this resonates, I’d be honored to connect with you. You can learn more or schedule a consultation on my website.
