Welcome, I’m Erika! My therapy approach focuses on providing culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, and affirming therapy services to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions or race/ethnic identity exploration. I specialize in trauma and work from a lens that explores childhood experiences, relational attachments, cultural environments, and generational trauma to understand how the body is impacted by these experiences. We may explore somatic approaches such as EMDR, parts work, DBT, and mindfulness. I also integrate feminism, herbalism, and decolonized/ancestral approaches.
I support folks who struggle finding balance and belonging in multiple cultures. Let’s intentionally create space for you to reconnect with your identities, culture(s), land and ancestors. We may explore first-gen experiences, relationships, spirituality, and other elements related to identity that are important to you and how they impact your mental health.
Therapy can be difficult and scary; it is also transformative and empowering to witness your own hard work and growth. I will honor your emotions and needs, and I am committed to showing up with curiosity and authenticity. What is important in our work together is that you feel seen, heard, and supported as you embark on this healing journey.
