About Dr. Susana Marroquin, LMFT, Psy.D

I am a passionate, empathic and strength based clinician. I will assist you in seeking your own inner strengths while guiding you towards healing and growth. I have a very straight forward approach in my therapy sessions but I use humor to connect with my clients and make them feel comfortable. My goal is to provide you a safe space of healing and serenity. I will not judge, criticize or make you feel ashamed for seeking help. I will support you and commend you for taking this very important step in your growth process. I have extensive knowledge in the mental health field as I have been blessed with working in several setting such as homes, schools, private practice and county non profit organizations for 15 years. It allows me to serve a diverse population and provide specific therapy to each and one of them.  My experience ranges from child behavioral issues, parenting, communication and relationship issues to individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, loss or suicidal ideation and more. I have thorough knowledge of all mental illnesses and diagnoses and provide a thorough assessment to meet your needs. I also provide maternal mental health therapeutic support and services. For more information please check out www.wellnessparalamama.com. I earned my Masters and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in Irvine, CA and I am currently finishing my doctorate dissertation (Psy.D). I am a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT). I am a mental health advocate, speaker and educator in the community with services in both English and Spanish. he three pillars my work focuses on is mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. The reason I focus on these is because they were the key components in my journey towards healing, growth and becoming a healthier mother and women. I help mother’s take control of their mental and emotional well being through their darkest and most challenging moments. With empathy and understanding, I help them heal and grow into better versions of themselves while knowing the value within them. I specialize in educating the mother on what is maternal mental health, helping the family understand what they are experiencing, the importance of the mother’s mental and emotional well being and connecting them with the proper resources in the community.
