About

I am a Licensed Psychologist and founder of the Aguirre Center of Inclusive Psychotherapy, a group practiced dedicated to providing culturally-sensitive, individual and group psychotherapy to adults.

My passion lies in working with the Latinx community, helping individuals cultivate more authentic, fulfilling relationships with both themselves and others. As a Chicana/Latina and the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, I understand firsthand the unique stressors faced by Latinx individuals as they navigate the challenges of living in a society rooted in systemic oppression.

In my work, I take an intersectional, culturally informed approach to understanding the dynamics of power, privilege, and oppression that have shaped my clients’ identities and lived experiences. For Latinx clients, a crucial part of our work involves healing from the wounds of racial trauma—whether from microaggressions, racism, violence, stereotypes, poverty, or discrimination. At the same time, I honor the cultural practices, traditions, and creativity that have enabled Latinx and Indigenous communities to resist oppression and build resilience across generations.

My practice is LGBT-affirming, Sex-Positive, Trauma-Informed, Poly-Aware, and Kink-Knowledgeable, ensuring that clients from diverse backgrounds and with varied identities and experiences feel welcome and understood. With over 15 years of experience, I have worked with a wide range of concerns, from relational and identity issues to trauma and systemic oppression. My goal is always to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel empowered to explore their unique experiences and heal in ways that honor their full selves.

PLEASE NOTE:  I am an Out-of-Network provider health insurance companies and I do not bill insurance companies. What this means is that you would have to pay for your sessions upfront (with a debit 0r credit card), and I will provide you with a detailed receipt (called a superbill) of our services that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  I also do not work with any EAP (Employee Assistance Programs).
