Hello! I’m Dr. Sandra Zuazo, a licensed clinical psychologist in California. I’m so happy you’re here.
I help adults who feel stuck because of past trauma, unhealthy relationships, or self-esteem concerns. Many of my clients come to me to heal from childhood trauma, abusive relationships, or workplace abuse, or to feel more confident in who they are.
As a Latinx clinician, I also support clients who are navigating questions of identity, acculturation, and belonging. I understand how complex it can be to honor multiple cultures, balance family expectations, and find your own voice. In our work together, we’ll explore how to stay connected to your roots while also creating space for your authentic self to thrive.
I have extensive experience working with Latinx clients and members of the undocumented community. I recognize the unique challenges and strengths that come with these experiences, whether it’s carrying family hopes, managing intergenerational pressures, or facing systemic barriers. My approach is grounded in deep cultural respect and understanding. I help clients learn how to assert themselves in loving, culturally sensitive ways that strengthen, rather than strain, important relationships.
In therapy with me, you’ll find a safe space to talk, feel heard, and grow. I believe you are the expert on your life. My job is to support, guide, and help you gently face the things holding you back. I use humor, insightful questions, and regular check-ins to ensure we’re working together in a way that feels right for you.
Through our sessions, we’ll explore what’s not working and how to make real changes. Working together, I hope you feel stronger, confident, connected, and at peace.
