Cultural Identities

About Dr. Natalie Zaragoza, LMFT

Hello and welcome! I am a trauma-informed, attachment-based therapist who works with individual adults and couples seeking deeper healing, stronger relationships, and a more grounded sense of self. My work integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic therapy, and attachment focused therapy to help clients understand how their past experiences, relationships, and cultural context shape how they feel and show up today. I support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addictive compulsive behaviors and relationship challenges, with a focus on helping them move toward greater clarity, connection, and emotional steadiness.

In my work with couples, I offer culturally attuned, trauma-informed therapy that helps partners step out of painful cycles, rebuild trust, and reconnect in more meaningful and embodied ways. With individuals, I support those who are ready to explore their attachment patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop a more secure and compassionate relationship with themselves. My style is warm, collaborative, and transparent — I aim to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered in their growth. My clinical work is truly my heart and passion.

In addition to my practice, I’ve served as adjunct faculty at Loma Linda University since 2018, where I teach and mentor future therapists in the masters and doctoral MFT programs. I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and serve on the board of directors for two professional organizations, where I contribute to training, leadership development, and advancing thoughtful, inclusive care within the field.

As the first in my family to attend college and earn a professional degree, and the daughter of a first-generation blue-collar worker, I hold a deep respect for the resilience, sacrifice, and determination that shape many of our stories. I carry a deep commitment to my community and to expanding access to care. I am actively involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the mental health field, and I bring a thoughtful awareness of culture, family, and identity into my work. It is a privilege and a joy to support clients as they navigate their stories and create meaningful change in their lives and relationships.
