Hello, I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Arizona, passionate about cultivating a genuine therapeutic relationship with my clients, where they can feel seen, safe, and empowered. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I currently work with individuals ages 9 to 30, including children, adolescents, and young adults.
I take an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy. I understand that clients and their families have unique experiences, values, and identities that influence their perspectives. As a bilingual, bicultural, and culturally humble clinician, I seek to incorporate these individualities and considerations throughout the treatment process. I support clients and their families in making sustainable changes that align with their values and goals. I utilize a process-oriented and relational approach to therapy with core foundations in psychodynamic theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and a systems theoretical framework. I am also trained in evidence-based therapeutic approaches like: EMDR, narrative exposure therapy, sandtray, and play therapy.
Since 2016, I have developed an interest in working with children and young adults affected by complex trauma. I have sought out specialized training and continually strive to integrate trauma-informed interventions to address concerns related to complex trauma, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, and dissociation. I also work with a diverse range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, adjustment concerns, identity exploration, first-generation experiences, self-esteem, shame, interpersonal issues, grief and loss, and adverse childhood experiences.
