Holis,
I’m a Colombian-American trauma therapist, social worker, and human/ecosocial rights advocate. As a first-gen Latina, I know what it’s like to navigate between worlds, carry family stories in your bones, and fight for joy in systems that weren’t built for us.
My work is rooted in liberation. Therapy shouldn’t just help you survive oppression, it should help you reclaim your power within it. I center BIPOC folks, immigrants, refugees, and anyone holding ancestral trauma, blending decolonial therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic healing, and cultural wisdom to help you heal on your terms.
Why Work With Me?
You’re tired of therapists who don’t get it. Colonial therapy says you’re the problem. I say let’s talk about racism, generational pain, and the weight of being “the strong one.”
You want healing that honors your whole self, not just the parts that are palatable to everyone else. Aquí, Spanglish is welcome, your ancestors are invited, and your emotions don’t need to be respectable.
You’re done with “just cope” therapy. Through IFS, we’ll get curious about every part of you, including the ones doing the surviving, and help them work together instead of against each other. We’ll name the systems hurting you, reconnect with your resilience, and rewrite the stories that no longer serve you.
When I’m Not in Therapist Mode
I’m chasing my rebel pup, Nala (9 months old and already a revolutionary). I’m hiking away from the beach toward lakes and waterfalls, because nature is my co-therapist. I’m losing badly at video games, and I button-mash with pride. Or I’m planning my next nature trip. Or you’ll find me organizing around mutual aid, because collective care is resistance.
You don’t have to just push through anymore. Let’s break cycles together.
