About

I’m the owner of Therapy Paradise. My passion includes helping folx processing trauma and experiencing life transitions, especially young adults, the Latinx and other BIPOC communities, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy working with individuals from all backgrounds. I take a collaborative and client-centered approach and see people as the experts of their own lives. As an immigrant, I love helping those who want to process the layered grief and excitement of moving to a new country, state, or territory (y hablo Español, mi lengua nativa).

I enjoy combining nature and psychology. While completing my psychology degree at the University of Florida, I was sorrounded by the immensity of Florida’s nature (and swamps!) I was able to learn about modalities like walk-and-talk therapy as well as Ecotherapy methods. While completing my Master of Social Work degree at the University of South Florida, I was introduced to alternative therapy methods like Trauma-Focused Yoga which I continue to learn about and use in therapy.

I take a holistic yet evidence-based approach to therapy. I’m here to be that non-judgmental presence that listens and witnesses your story, teaches you tools to succeed at each stage of your journey, and roots for you as you make positive life changes. I am here to empower you, encourage you, and most importantly, meet you where you're at. I am a Certified Cognitive Processing Therapy Provider, and a Certified BSP Practitioner. I have more than 4 years of experience providing trauma informed care. I use somatic therapy methods such as Brainspotting and EMDR. I use a trauma-focused, compassionate approach every step of the way. I also use talk therapy interventions/treatments like CBT and CPT depending on your individual needs. I use TF-Yoga and art based activities. I’m Bilingual in English and Spanish. If you're ready to begin processing current stress, past traumatic experiences, and start working toward your healing, please reach out. I’m honored to be a part of your journey.
