¡Hola! I’m Diane and I’m so glad you’re here! Taking the steps to take care of and manage our mental health can be challenging, overwhelming, and may I say…nerve wracking! However, realizing that we don’t have to figure it all out on our own can be relieving and empowering. A core tenet of my practice is that healing happens in relationship. I believe in establishing a therapeutic relationship with you based on honesty, transparency, and trust. In doing so my goal is to create a space that welcomes and honors your vulnerability and gives you the willingness to explore deep and difficult topics. I love connecting through humor and making laughter a part of our time together. In my work, I have supported those who struggle with anxiety and depression, with a focus in generational cycles of trauma, emotional abuse, and people pleasing tendencies. All of you is welcome here. My style is straightforward. In our first session you can expect me to ask you a ton of questions tailored to addressing your long-term goals (it’s ok if you don’t have any in mind yet!), while having the flexibility to address concerns and needs as they arise. What does a session look like? In a typical session, you can expect to feel heard, validated, and gently challenged. I want to hear it all. The good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. Feel free to bring your cafecito with you during session. I hope that with a combination of time, openness, self-compassion, and a sprinkle of commitment, we can create the perfect formula to get you closer to reaching your mental health goals.
