Cultural Identities

About Denisse Silva, LMFT #154208

Reconnecting with my culture, roots, motherland, and to ancestral practices this last year has been an core part of my development as a psychotherapist and the inspiration in creating Ancestral Therapy- a non-pathologizing, culturally affirming platform for first gen, children of immigrants, bicultural identifying individuals, and black or brown bodies to explore the root source of their suffering, reconnect to their culture, access the innate wisdom of their body, and process the impact of colonization and systemic oppression when growing up in the USA.

Currently, I offer bilingual, telehealth services in Spanish/English to individuals who reside in California & draw from somatic (body oriented), experiential, mindfulness-based, & trauma informed modalities. I specialize and also offer psychedelic assisted psychotherapy using with ketamine (KAP) as well as psychedelic integration or microdosing support to clients.

Ultimately as your psychotherapist, I will teach you to follow the guidance of your body and believe that symptoms are not something to go to war with or get rid of, but rather they can be a compass to identify emotional pain and/or oftentimes carry teachings and lessons that pull us to learn to set boundaries, stand up for ourselves, or express thoughts and/or feelings more openly and honestly.
