Indigenous/Native Background
Reconnecting Taino
Hello and welcome, my name is Dayhana A. Ray (pronouns she/her/ella). I am a Latinx bilingual Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina. Therapy is a place of exploration and curiosity, where we work together on your goals. As your therapist, I am here to support you in making meaning of your experiences. I believe that change occurs by bringing awareness to your experiences.
I am passionate about working with BIPOC women. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, body image/self-worth, and generational trauma. As a reconnecting Taino I also incorporates Indigenous teaching in my work. My therapeutic approach is holistic and trauma-informed. With a focus on social justice and mind-body connection. Through this process, I empower you to listen to your body's wisdom. Treatment may include Constructed Awareness, CBT, and somatic-based therapy.
My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where we can collaborate and work together to help you reach your goals.
