About Daniella Maciel, PsyD

Immigrants are safe and welcome here. Born in Oregon and raised in Dallas, Texas, I recently returned to my home state after completing my doctoral training in Florida. I’m bilingual in Portuguese and proud of my Portuguese and Brazilian heritage.

I’m passionate about creating a safe and empowering therapeutic space. I aim to meet clients where they are, supporting them as they gain perspective, deepen emotional awareness, and cultivate self-compassion while we navigate a world and political climate that can be less than kind.

I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and health conditions, grief, low self-esteem, and trauma—including sexual, relational, and combat-related trauma. I also support individuals during life transitions following serious health challenges and provide psychological evaluations, including ADHD assessments. I seek to continue providing trauma-informed services for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, as well as addressing the unique mental health needs of women and neurodivergent clients.

I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and trained at the North Texas VA Health Care System with Veterans. I provide trauma-focused treatments across medical and mental health settings, using an individualized, research-based approach to help clients build insight, resilience, and lasting change.

I look forward to supporting you through your healing journey!
