I am a Bilingual (Spanish), Bicultural, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the San Gabriel Valley, California. I support clients statewide via Telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse. Building relationships is an important part of the therapeutic process and I look forward to being in community with you. “If you are a therapist and you’re not acknowledging how systems of oppression and intersectionality impact mental health, then you’re likely centering supremacy and whiteness in your work.” -Dr. Ebony
My approach
I use components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Feminist Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS informed), and a trauma-informed approach to help folks feel grounded and more connected with themselves.
My focus
I work with adults (Women, Non-Binary, BIPOC) and specialize in anxiety, stress, trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
My communication style
I am warm and empathetic, yet honest and direct. I utilize humor to connect with folks. I also provide a holding and safe environment in session.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have been in the field of social work for the last 13 years. I started off as a volunteer at a domestic violence crisis line and have worked my way here. I have also had personal life experiences that inspired me to get into the work. It is an honor to serve my community and work alongside with other folks.
My goals for you
I take a “client-centered” approach. You are the expert of your own life.
My first session with you
We will get to know each other during our first session. I will review some “housekeeping” items, and get to exploring what brings you to therapy.
