Cultural Identities

About Daisy Gomez, Psy.D.

You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, college/graduate students, and adults through life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, school challenges, and relationship distress. I also have deep experience working with first-generation individuals who may be navigating therapy for the first time.

As a bilingual, culturally affirming therapist, I work closely with Latinx individuals to process acculturation stress, intergenerational trauma, and identity-related challenges. Together, we can work toward healing, growth, and a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.

Therapy is a space for you to be fully seen and supported. I believe psychotherapy is a collaborative process rooted in authenticity, trust, and compassion. It’s important to me that clients feel safe being their authentic selves, reflecting on strengths while gently exploring vulnerabilities and unmet needs.

I bring extensive experience working with children, teens, parents, and young adults. My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including psychodynamic therapy, Violet Oaklander’s Gestalt and Play Therapy model, art therapy, mindfulness, and play therapy. Sessions are always tailored to meet your developmental, emotional, and cultural needs.

In addition to in-office and virtual sessions, I offer outdoor therapy in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, for clients who find comfort and healing in nature-based settings.

Whether you’re reaching out for yourself or your child, I’d be honored to support you on this journey, at your pace and in a way that feels right for you.
