Cultural Identities

About Daisy Gómez, LCPC

Daisy Gómez is a first-generation, bilingual Licensed Latina Therapist based in Chicago and the founder of Encuéntrate Counseling & Consulting. She specializes in helping high-achieving, first-generation professionals manage anxiety, depression, burnout, and heal from difficult life experiences through culturally affirming, trauma-informed therapy.

Many of the clients Daisy works with are successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. They carry the pressure of being responsible, strong, and dependable often while navigating cultural expectations, family guilt, and high professional demands. Therapy with Daisy is designed to help clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and build emotional balance without losing their ambition or identity.

Daisy offers a warm, collaborative therapeutic space that honors culture, language, and lived experience. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, CBT, and somatic interventions to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and lasting change. Sessions are available in English, Spanish, or Spanglish, allowing clients to express themselves fully and authentically.

As a proud Mexicana Americana and daughter of immigrants, Daisy is deeply committed to destigmatizing mental health and making therapy feel relatable, respectful, and empowering for first-generation and bicultural communities. Her work centers on helping clients feel calmer in their bodies, clearer in their decisions, and more confident setting boundaries en el trabajo y en la vida.
