Cultural Identities

About Cynthia Yee, LMFT

I’m honored to hold space for those on the journey of returning home to themselves. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and decolonizing therapy — I’m EMDR trained, and I’m committed to creating a space where queer, trans, and gender-expansive beings feel seen, affirmed, and supported in their whole selves.

The balance of shadow and medicine is a delicate dance — one I’ve learned to flow with through my own healing journey, and one that continues to shape how I show up for others. I weave my clinical training with ancestral teachings and wisdom I’ve received from many teachers and elders, and with my experience in ancestral and community work.

My focus is supporting clients in reconnecting with their own wisdom and power, remembering and reclaiming their birthright to live their truth. Healing, to me, isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about returning to the parts of ourselves that have always known who we are.

I hold a deep affinity for plantita medicine and feel most at home beneath a canopy of redwood trees. I approach this work with reverence, love, and care, and I look forward to connecting with those who feel called to walk this path with me.
