Hi, I’m Cynthia and I’m a BIPOC therapist passionate about creating affirming, compassionate spaces where people feel seen beyond labels, expectations, and survival roles. My approach is rooted in decolonizing mental health care, honoring the lived realities of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, identity, culture, and resilience. I believe healing happens in spaces where people are not pathologized for adapting to difficult environments, family systems, or societal pressures.
I work collaboratively with clients to hold space for the complexity of their experiences while supporting growth, self-understanding, and emotional safety. I recognize that mental health does not exist in a vacuum, and I integrate awareness of racism, migration experiences, gender roles, family expectations, and oppressive systems into the therapeutic process. My work is grounded in helping clients reconnect with themselves in ways that feel empowering, culturally affirming, and sustainable.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex PTSD, ADHD, maternal mental health, family conflict, blended family dynamics, and intergenerational trauma. I also support individuals navigating burnout, identity exploration, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, and the impacts of chronic stress and survival mode.
As a therapist, I am deeply committed to reducing harm and challenging oppressive systems that disproportionately impact BIPOC communities. I strive to offer a space where clients can show up authentically, unpack inherited narratives, strengthen boundaries, and move toward healing without shame. Whether you are navigating motherhood, relationships, trauma, or life transitions, therapy with me centers your humanity, autonomy, and lived experience.
