About Corina Lopez, PhD

I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) first generation Chicana psychologist that believes in the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection and the transformative power of emotions. I find purpose in working with Latinx communities and have a strong focus on first-gen experience and BIPOC professionals, particularly those of healing and helping professions (i.e. therapists, nurses, teachers etc.). My specialites are in psycho-oncology and generational trauma. I provide support to those dealing with depression, grief, cancer and other chronic illnesses, anxiety, and PTSD. I consider myself an integrative healer that bridges indigenous spiritual practices with western knowledge. Mental health is much more than the absence of illness, it is about being engaged and connected to life, and living authentically. I believe that often times we pathologize our natural responses to surviving oppressive systems and it is in knowing our pain that we can find liberation. Self-healing can transform our communities and just as we have collective suffering, we also have collective healing. Available for telehealth in California and in-person sessions by appointment only here: 348 Tejon Place, Palos Verdes Estates, California 90274, United States
