Cultural Identities

About Carmen Diaz, LPC

I’m Carmen Diaz, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas, providing bilingual therapy in English and Spanish for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship stress.

Soy terapeuta bilingüe y ofrezco servicios en español para personas que buscan apoyo emocional en un espacio seguro, confidencial y culturalmente sensible.

As a first-generation Latina who has lived in both the United States and Mexico, I understand the complexities of balancing cultures, family expectations, and personal identity. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward—and together, we work to create clarity, emotional balance, and meaningful change.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded, to help you process past experiences while building practical tools for everyday life. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, or unresolved trauma, therapy can help you feel more in control and connected to yourself.

También trabajo con personas que están enfrentando estrés, ansiedad o experiencias difíciles relacionadas con la familia, la migración o cambios importantes en sus vidas.

In addition to therapy, I specialize in psychological evaluations for immigration cases, including hardship waivers, U-Visa cases, and other immigration-related evaluations. I provide thorough, objective, and culturally informed assessments with a typical turnaround time of about two weeks.

Mi objetivo es crear un espacio donde te sientas escuchado(a), comprendido(a) y apoyado(a) en cada paso de tu proceso.

If you’re looking for a therapist who understands both the emotional and cultural aspects of your experience, I’d be honored to support you.
