You’ve felt invisible — like your pain wasn’t serious enough to say out loud, or like people would only see what happened to you and not the whole person you are.

I work with survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and gender and sex-related crimes. I’ve been doing this work for 27 years, in two countries and two languages.

I trained as a psychologist in Venezuela and graduated in 1999. Years later I came to the United States, went back to school, and earned a second degree so I could practice here as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Doing the whole training twice taught me something about starting over, which is often exactly what my clients are doing.

Why this work and not another: I’m a survivor. I share that because I want to be part of a world that gives people the chance to have the best life they can.

My clinical training centers on EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and somatic strategies. Much of my work happens before any processing begins—helping someone become stable and safe enough to start. I don’t push a person into their history before they have somewhere to stand.

I also conduct forensic psychological evaluations for asylum cases, VAWA self-petitions, and U and T visa petitions, working from attorney referrals. If you are a survivor with an open immigration matter, this may be the part of my practice that matters most to you. That evaluation has to be done by someone who understands both the clinical picture and what the legal process requires — and who can do it in your language.

I am credentialed as a Rape Crisis Counselor by the New York State Department of Health and hold the National Certified Counselor credential.

Outside my clinical practice, I run Incondicional Unconditional, a bilingual ecosystem of resources, tools, and community for survivors of trauma, abuse, and gender-based violence. Bilingual. Honesty from beside you, not help from above. If you want to know how I think before you decide whether to work with me, that is a good place to look.https://incondicional-unconditional.ai/

Progress here doesn’t look like never thinking about it again. It looks like your reactions starting to feel like your own. It looks like being able to explain what happened in a way someone can actually follow. It looks like recovery no longer feeling like a second full-time job.

I work with individuals —teens and adults. I don’t work with couples or families. All sessions are online, and I am licensed in New York and Connecticut.

It’s time for the world to see the real you, not the version you built to stay safe.

Te has sentido invisible.
