Bryan Castilla (he/him/el) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #150012) supervised by Fanny Vazquez. Bryan provides individual, couples and family psychotherapy. Bryan is available for online therapy. Additionally, he is able to provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
As a first generation queer Mexican-American, Bryan has understood the generational plight that often comes with the intersections that define our very identity. Additionally, in getting his education in rural California, Bryan has grown passionate about the inequities and barriers that come when advocating for the mental health needs of his clients. Within his line of work, he has experience working with individuals who face generational, cultural, gender and sexuality trauma. Bryan has also worked with POC and BIPOC queer individuals who are HIV+ or who have faced systemic discrimination and generational trauma.
Bryan utilizes an eclectic modality to provide a safe, empathetic, compassionate, and warm space for his clients. Bryan believes that the way that we express our emotions is through our first language. Therefore, Bryan’s person-centered approach meets you at your pace.
Bryan is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Gottman Method for Couples.
