About Brianna Gomez, MS - Mental Health Counselor Intern

I’m Brianna Gomez, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern born and raised in Miami, Florida. I hold dual master’s degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana Monroe.  My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed care with a strong foundation in narrative therapy. I also integrate techniques from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), grief counseling, and attachment-based practices. This combination allows me to help clients make sense of their experiences and move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.

My clinical experience comes from working in a trauma center where I have supported children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. I specialize in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting athletes in managing emotional and performance-related challenges.  In our work together, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to reshape your story and explore new ways of being. I believe that healing is not a linear process — there will be ups and downs — and that’s okay. Learning how to navigate life’s difficult moments can lead to growth, resilience, and lasting change.

No one should have to face life’s challenges alone. Together, we can work toward healing, clarity, and a stronger sense of self — one day at a time.
