Cultural Identities

About Brian Torres, MA, LMFT

You feel deeply—and you’re tired of holding it all together. Maybe you’ve been masking, over-functioning, or carrying the pressure to succeed for your family. You’ve done everything “right,” but still feel stuck—caught between two cultures, managing guilt, boundaries, or burnout. You’re navigating generational expectations, identity, and your own needs. Therapy can help you make space for you—not just who you’ve had to be.

I support first- and second-generation Latinx clients navigating family roles, dual identity, success pressure, and intergenerational trauma. I also work with LGBTQ+, sensitive, and creative clients using Narrative Therapy, IFS (Level 1), and Attachment-Focused EMDR (Levels 1, 2, & 3).

Therapy with me is collaborative, intuitive, and affirming. I believe healing happens when we both show up fully—painted nails, Spanglish, band tees, and all. You won’t have to explain your identity here. If you’re ready to feel more connected, grounded, and seen, I’d be honored to work with you.
