Hi, I’m Brenna (she/her), a licensed mental health counselor and the founder of That’s So Wholesome Co., a fully virtual therapy practice serving clients across Florida. I created this space because I know how hard it can feel to find a therapist who gets it—someone who understands the weight of growing up in immigrant households, navigating complex family dynamics, or moving through the world as neurodivergent, queer, and first-generation.
My own identity as a queer, Brazilian American, AuDHD therapist informs my work every day. I know firsthand what it’s like to feel misunderstood, to mask parts of yourself for safety, or to carry generational expectations that clash with your authentic needs. These lived experiences give me a deep compassion for clients who are searching for a space where they don’t have to explain or justify their existence—where they can simply be.
At That’s So Wholesome Co., my mission is to help older teens and especially young adults (20s and 30s) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, and complex trauma. Many of my clients identify as first-generation, Latinx, queer, and/or neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, or both). What they often share in common is the feeling that they’re carrying too much—too many expectations, too many roles, too many unspoken family rules—and they’re ready to finally set those burdens down.
I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and tailored to you. No two people heal the same way, which is why I draw from a variety of approaches depending on your needs. My foundation is trauma-informed, relational, and attachment-focused, and I frequently use: parts work, DBT, CBT, & expressive techniques (art & play therapy). Above all, my goal is to guide you toward self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-love. I want therapy with me to feel like a mix of compassion, gentle challenge, and deep curiosity about who you are—not just who you were told to be.
My practice is especially for older teens & young adults who feel stuck between worlds:
– The first-gen college student or professional trying to balance family loyalty with personal freedom.
– The neurodivergent young adult who has been misunderstood their whole life and is learning to unmask.
– The queer or questioning client navigating identity, culture, and belonging.
– The adult child of emotionally immature parents who feels guilty for wanting boundaries but longs for authentic connection.
If you recognize yourself in any of these, know that you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. With me, you can expect warmth, humor, and a space where every part of you is welcome. We’ll move at your pace, and I’ll always honor your readiness for the work we’re doing. My role is to help you learn how to work with your brain, rather than against it, unlearn limiting beliefs from childhood, and build a life that feels aligned with who you really are. I do speak spanish & portuguese, although I provide sessions primarily in English, and some of my clients like to incorporate spanglish or portglish interwoven in our time together. That’s more than welcome!
If you’re a young adult navigating neurodivergence, cultural identity, queerness, or the weight of family dynamics, I’d be honored to support you. Healing can feel heavy, but together we can make the process feel a little lighter, a little safer, and a lot more you. If interested, I offer free 15-20 minute consultations to determine if we’re a good fit.
