About

As a first generation Latina, I have learned to break through many generational norms. I challenged what society had in store for me and I decided to create my own story. I work with young kids, teens, young adults and parents from many backgrounds. I have a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ population. It was the LGBTQIA+ population that inspired the name to my practice. BE YOURSELF/BYT.  Being part of the community is not just about 'coming out.' It is about going against generational and cultural norms. Healing and processing are a big part of being in the community; accepting and learning more about yourself so that others can accept you to the fullest. For parents, the challenges that may present when you have a child in the LGTBQIA+ community are valid and they also need a space to be heard. I am a gender confirming/supportive therapist. I am someone who not only understands at a personal level but also through a systemic perspective. If you need a place to BE YOU, this is it! It is time/Es hora! I started "Be Yourself, Therapy" because I wanted to give EVERYONE a safe place to be their authentic selves. I work with people who experience, depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence/abuse within the LGBTQIA+ community.
