In addition to working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD, I have experience and interest in issues affecting Latinx and Chicanx communities, such as cultural stress and trauma, gender, migration, inter-culturalism, language, first-generation college students, and intercultural parenting practices. I offer bilingual therapy services in English and Spanish for adults and teens, emphasizing collaboration, social justice, and holistic wellness.
My clinical work centers on listening to individuals’ and communities’ unique stories and recognizing that many of their presenting problems arise from structural inequities. My experiences in diverse academic and institutional settings have deepened my awareness and understanding of the significant impact that class disparities and inequities have on individual mental health and our collective well-being. I am committed to practicing clinically through social justice and equity lenses, providing dignified and safe spaces where individuals can heal and thrive.
I aim to highlight individuals’ strengths and resilience while addressing their mental health needs and life goals. I utilize psychodynamic, school-based, narrative, and therapeutic practices and approaches in my clinical work with people. My work emphasizes collaboration and promotes healing by valuing individuals’ cultural wealth and ensuring their stories and cultural practices are honored.
