Cultural Identities

About Ana Diaz-LePage, PhD

Hi, my name is Ana and I provide online therapy services at Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy. I identify as a cis-het Latinx woman. I immigrated from Lima, Peru when I was 8 years old, and was raised in a bilingual and bicultural home. I can provide therapy in Spanish, English, or both languages based on client preference. As an immigrant and Latinx woman, my lived experiences fuel my commitment to providing culturally affirming care. I understand the challenges of navigating systems not designed with you in mind, and how crucial it is to cultivate awareness, reflection, and self-compassion to thrive in the face of adversity. My goal is to honor your cultural identity while offering a space where you can explore, heal, and grow in a way that feels authentic and empowering. I recognize that starting therapy can be daunting. It takes courage to ask for help, and even more courage to face vulnerable, sometimes uncomfortable, parts of yourself. I strive to create an inclusive, non-judgmental, and empathetic space where you can fully show up as your true self. Together, we will work to identify the barriers that keep you stuck in unhealthy patterns. My approach is collaborative, helping you to uncover and unlearn survival strategies that may have once served you, but now hold you back from the life and relationships you truly desire. In my practice, I use a culturally affirming, strengths-based approach that values your unique background and experiences. We will explore how cultural, familial, and societal factors have influenced your sense of self, and I will support you in developing new, empowering narratives. By exploring your needs, wants, and values, we can help you prioritize yourself and live a life that aligns with your authentic identity. I am passionate about supporting individuals, especially young adults, who are navigating identity concerns, anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, chronic illness, and other health-related issues. Together, we will find ways to help you embrace and cope with your emotions, tailoring therapy to your unique strengths and life experiences. My ultimate aim is to empower you to live with greater self-awareness, resilience, and authenticity. Ana Diaz-LePage, PhD
