As a queer, first-generation Mexican-American therapist and a daughter of immigrants, my foundation is deeply engrained in connection, compassion, and solidarity. It is my commitment that you feel seen, heard, and understood. Your story matters, and I wish to create a space where your mind and body can become a safe home for you. We often have limiting beliefs that hinder our ability to truly see ourselves. You deserve to have a grounded space to explore generational trauma, navigate intersecting identities, and embrace healing practices to live your truest life. My clients are often the first in their families to have the courage to disrupt limiting beliefs and expectations. They may feel misunderstood or alone. I will be a fierce advocate for you to see yourself as the person you are - resilient and capable. I wholeheartedly believe that you can continue to love and honor family and culture, while still being true to yourself. I stand by the values that therapy should always be affirming, safe, anti-racist, and transparent. It hurts and infuriates me that individuals have not had safe and productive experiences in therapy. I am committed to providing reparative and restorative experiences to those who have been affected and seek to provide a truly transformational experience for first-time therapy goers. We are in this together. When not in session, I am exploring coffee shops, immersing myself in a good book, and moving my body through yoga and dance. My two cats, Finnegan and Chaos, will also make an appearance in our sessions - I hope you don't mind!
