I empower anxious and burnt-out women to embrace their worth, courage, and resilience.
As a second-generation Mexican-American woman, I truly understand the importance of finding a therapist with firsthand experience in navigating the complexities of womanhood and prioritizing mental health, especially when it can feel overwhelming to figure out where to begin your healing journey.
Coming from a family-oriented household, I understand the spoken and unspoken expectations placed on young girls to learn to care for our family and countless other cultural responsibilities. As we grew and took on more responsibilities, we developed a lifestyle that usually prioritizes our families’ needs above our peace. This hectic pace of life can eventually leave us feeling alone, drained, and doubtful of our worth and capabilities. However, our identity can extend beyond this experience, because we all possess the chance to evolve.
Life is meant to be more than just ‘getting by’—it’s about flourishing!
You deserve to prioritize your mental health, not as a luxury but as a fundamental right.
Growing up in Dallas, Texas, I take pride in my Mexican-American heritage and its influence on my perspective and values.
Again, I recognize the flaws in my culture, including the immense pressure placed on women to support their families out of guilt, often leading these women to sacrifice their passions, struggle with their personal identities, and feel they must suffer in silence.
I am driven to help women unlearn the belief that seeking therapy is a selfish act or a sign of weakness.
As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating an inclusive therapeutic space for fellow women of color who feel trapped in a never-ending cycle of anxiety, depression, or burnout.
