I’m a first-generation Latinx Licensed Mental Health Counselor, born and raised in New York City, and I bring a culturally grounded, trauma-informed approach to my work. Growing up between cultures, I understand how family expectations, loyalty, silence, and survival can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. Many of the clients I work with bring deep emotional histories connected to family dynamics, migration stories, loss, and unspoken pain, and are seeking space to understand how these experiences continue to shape them today.
I work with Latinx adults navigating grief and loss (including complicated and unresolved grief), trauma, dissociation, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and identity questions. Therapy with me is a space where you can speak openly, in English, Spanish, or Spanglish, without having to explain or minimize your experience. Together, we explore emotional patterns, family roles, and relational wounds with curiosity and care, helping you move toward greater clarity, self-trust, and emotional freedom.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational, informed by anti-racist and anti-oppressive principles, and shaped by advanced training in Trauma Studies at the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis. I integrate parts-based and somatic approaches, paying close attention to how the body, culture, and personal history hold emotional experience. I believe healing happens when we are able to slow down, feel deeply understood, and reconnect with ourselves in a way that honors where we come from and who we are becoming.
I offer individual therapy for adults and am committed to creating a warm, collaborative space that feels respectful, grounded, and human. If you’re looking for depth-oriented therapy that honors culture, relationships, and emotional complexity, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.
