About Alejandra Maltos Psychotherapist

I am a clinical psychologist, Master of Human Development, trained in humanistic psychotherapy with a person-centered approach, and with over seven years of experience in private practice.

I support adult clients by offering a safe and inclusive space, with a special sensitivity to the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism and ADHD in adulthood. I specialize in online therapy for Spanish-speaking clients living abroad, as well as in face-to-face sessions in Monterrey, MX.

Some of the areas addressed in therapy include:
– Managing anxiety and stress.
– Coping with sadness, low motivation, or depression.
– Processing grief or significant losses.
– Strengthening self-esteem and self-concept.
– Improving communication and interpersonal relationships, whether romantic or familial.
– Adjusting to major life transitions or adapting to life abroad.

These are just some examples; each therapeutic process is unique, and support is also provided for other personal challenges.

Additional training involves:
– Late autism diagnosis in adult women.
– Mindfulness-based approaches in psychotherapy.
– Evidence-based psychotherapies and functional behavior analysis.
– Positive psychology and positive organizational practices.
– Sexual diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination (CONAPRED).
– Participation in conferences and congresses focused on contextual psychotherapies, diversity, and inclusion.

My approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and positive psychology, supporting clients in facing their current challenges, deepening their self-understanding, and moving toward a more authentic and meaningful life.
