Tina Gonzalez is the daughter of immigrants from Mexico, a native Angeleña, a wounded healer and a student of self-compassion. She has over 10 years of experience working in school-based and community mental health, first as a school counselor and later a mental health therapist in various school districts throughout Southern California with largely immigrant populations. As such, much of her work has focused on destigmatizing mental health, providing education and increasing access to mental health services via workshops, group facilitation and educational forums.
