Rosa is a California-based psychotherapist, trauma specialist, speaker, and author with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities. Her work focuses on helping people understand how early attachment experiences and childhood trauma continue to influence adult relationships, self-worth, emotional regulation, and mental health.
Rosa speaks about the long-term impact of childhood trauma and how healing can occur across the lifespan. Her presentations help audiences recognize how common coping patterns, such as anxiety, people-pleasing, over-functioning, hyper-independence, or difficulty setting boundaries, often begin as adaptive survival responses in childhood.
Her approach is integrative and informed by advanced training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, somatic therapies, Havening Techniques, Yoga Therapy, CBT, and Mindfulness. In her talks, Rosa explores inner child healing, attachment, and intergenerational trauma, translating complex psychological concepts into accessible and culturally meaningful conversations.
As a Latina and first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, Rosa also brings personal insight into the cultural dynamics many Latinx families navigate, including the responsibilities often placed on eldest daughters, the pressure to be strong, and the desire to break generational cycles while honoring family values.
Beyond her clinical work, Rosa shares mental health education through her Instagram platform (@rosashetty), hosts the Inner Healing Paths Podcast, which has reached over 100,000 downloads, and is the author of the Inner Child Meditation Journal, a guided resource for reconnecting with and healing early emotional wounds.
Through workshops, trainings, and community conversations, Rosa bridges clinical expertise with cultural understanding, helping individuals and organizations better understand trauma, strengthen emotional resilience, and support healthier futures for the next generation.
