Pamela Gonzalez is a Latina, bilingual (español) Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified Grief Educator, based out of San Jose, CA. She is also a MSW field instructor working with students from San Jose State University and a Clinical Supervisor.
Pamela specializes in working with teens and adults who have been impacted by challenges related to grief/loss, trauma, child abuse, the foster care system and domestic violence. She has over 10 years of experience, delivering clinical services within the non-profit and government mental health sector, in both Spanish and English. She has provided mental health therapy for incarcerated youth, survivors of domestic violence, and for those impacted by the foster care system and substance use. She also has extensive experience leading groups in Spanish as a Child and Family team facilitator, within the child welfare system, to support youth and families in increasing safety and overall well-being.
She is passionate about educating professionals on trauma-informed care and the tools needed to support healing, and about destigmatizing mental health within the BIPOC community especially amongst first-gen Latina’s. Pamela is available to participate in panel discussions, lectures, workshops, healing circles, to support her community in learning about grief and/or related topics.
