Founder and Clinical Director at Paloma Therapy
Speaker/Podcaster/Latina Entrepreneur
Nancy Paloma Collins is a licensed marriage and family therapist and Founder and Clinical Director at Paloma Therapy in California.
As a first generation Mexican American, born and raised in Los Angeles, Nancy experienced first-hand the reluctance and need for mental health services in the Latinx community. She used this experience to propel her into the mental health field with the idea of having conversations within the Latinx community of all the taboo including love, sex, relationships, feminism, Trans issues and advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights.
Nancy has over 10 years of experience in the mental health space through her private practice and community work with inner-city programs. Much of her focus is on building relationships, family dynamics, LGBTQIA+ community, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Her training in some of the most progressive modalities including, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Seeking Safety, elevate her strategies to help clients develop skills to create life-long changes, stay present and live a more fulfilling life.
In addition to her therapy practice, Nancy is the host of the recently launched Mental Health 411 podcast which amplifies her work educating, building a community, and having important, honest conversations around normalizing everything taboo, inclusivity, and acceptance. She is working towards a certification in sex therapy to offer a deeper understanding of feelings and intimacy with both individual and couple’s therapy.
