Joshua Sanchez-Bow, LCSW, is a licensed mental health clinician in private practice specializing in process-based and behavioral science approaches for adults and older adolescents experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and complex life stressors.
His clinical training includes a post-graduate fellowship at The Reeds Center for Anxiety, OCD, and Related Disorders, where he received advanced training in evidence-based treatments, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), habit reversal therapy (HRT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed approaches such as STAIR-NT and cognitive processing therapy (CPT). Joshua has also trained with Dr. Katherine Shear at Columbia University’s Center for Prolonged Grief, Dr. Matthieu Villatte of the Evidence-Based Practice Institute of Seattle, the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), and the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
In addition to his clinical work, Joshua’s professional interests include the long-term effectiveness of process-based and behavioral treatments, particularly their impact on psychological flexibility, resilience, and quality of life. His writing and scholarly contributions include book reviews published in Health & Social Work, The New Social Worker, and Psychoanalytic Social Work.
Joshua earned his M.S. in Advanced Clinical Social Work Practice with a concentration in Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities from Columbia University and his B.A. in Theatre from Franklin & Marshall College. He maintains professional memberships with the International OCD Foundation and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
His clinical and educational work centers on translating evidence-based behavioral science into accessible, meaningful, and practical applications for everyday life.
