Supporting first-generation, BIPOC, and Latinx communities in navigating stress, identity, and resilience across academic, professional, and leadership spaces.
As a first-generation Latina and daughter of immigrants, I bring lived experience and over two decades in mental health to my work. My speaking focuses on identity-related experiences, managing anxiety, academic and professional stress, and resilience that honors cultural identity and strengths within Latinx, BIPOC, and first-generation communities.
My approach is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT and ACT. I offer practical tools and a strengths-based perspective that help individuals and groups manage stress, build resilience, and stay connected to their values across academic, professional, and leadership spaces.
I’ve facilitated workshops for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, supported emerging leaders and community-based organizations, and led trainings for mental health professionals. I’ve also presented for Stanford Health Care’s Nursing Grand Rounds, bringing a culturally responsive mental health lens to clinical and healthcare audiences. Whether I’m working with students, professionals, or community groups, I integrate a mental health lens into conversations around performance, leadership, and well-being. I also collaborate with organizations to tailor presentations that reflect their unique goals and the needs of the communities they serve. Previously, I served as a lecturer at UC Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare.
I am available for keynote presentations, workshops, support groups, panel discussions, and trainings. I welcome the opportunity to collaborate and support your event.
