Dr. Stacey Lawson, DSW, LCSW, C-NIT, is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker, Certified Nature-Informed Therapist, educator, and speaker. Her work brings together mental health, culture, nature, and a question she comes back to often: what happens to the people who spend so much of their lives caring for and showing up for everyone else?
She brings experience across clinical practice, child welfare, higher education, and organizational leadership. Her trainings and presentations often center helping professionals, first responders and their families, leaders, and organizations, with conversations around stress, nervous system regulation, boundaries, sustainability, and the cost of constantly being the one others depend on.
Culture is an important part of how Dr. Lawson understands mental health and well-being. Her work makes room for family, community, identity, language, cultural expectations, and the messages we carry about strength, responsibility, work, and asking for help. She brings a culturally responsive and relational lens to these conversations while recognizing that there is no single Latino experience.
Her approach is practical, reflective, and nature-informed. She believes we can care deeply about our work, our families, and our communities without losing ourselves in the process. Dr. Lawson presents in English and Spanish and enjoys creating spaces where people can slow down, reflect, ask questions, laugh a little, and leave with something they can actually use in real life.
