About Deniss Pleiner, Mental Health Therapist & Advocate

Deniss Pleiner is a Mexican-American immigrant, licensed therapist, and BIPOC mental health advocate specializing in culturally responsive therapy for BIPOC adults. She focuses on empowering first- and second-generation professionals to navigate bicultural identity, break generational trauma patterns, and overcome impostor syndrome.

As a Latina therapist, Deniss brings a culturally informed lens to the issues that matter most to her clients — from family dynamics and generational trauma to boundary setting and work-life balance. Her approach acknowledges the unique intersection of cultural identity and mental health that many BIPOC professionals face.

Deniss’ expertise in BIPOC mental health has made her a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator for leading institutions and organizations, including Pepperdine, UCLA, CalTech, Act Blue, Prospanica, and NSPA. She has been featured on prominent podcasts including CNN Radio’s Diversifying and Werk Stories.

A passionate advocate for mental health equity, Deniss believes that free mental health education should be accessible to everyone. She creates culturally relevant content for her growing audiences on TikTok (@denisspleiner) and YouTube (Therapy, Explained).
