BETTER NOW THERAPY – betternowtherapy.org

Hello & Welcome!

My name is Jasmine Cepeda, LCSW. With over 13 years of clinical experience, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in helping folks process difficult transitions and painful emotions. Whether you’re carrying unresolved wounds from the past or feeling distressed by your current relationships or responsibilities, I’m here to help you make sense of your experience.

Although I support clients with many different struggles, my main specializations are:

1. Grief work: helping you move through losses of all kinds, including the death of a loved one or pet, the end of a relationship, the loss of a job or role, or the quiet grief of a childhood you never fully got to have.

2. Rebuilding authentic self-worth and self-esteem after trauma: supporting you in reclaiming your self-compassion, confidence, and identity following painful or destabilizing experiences.

3. Emotional Regulation skills: helping you increase your capacity to tolerate and move through difficult emotional states without becoming overwhelmed, shut down, or self-critical.

4. Dream work: helping you explore and process your dreams.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and highly personalized. I tailor my services to each person’s unique needs and goals, integrating the following modalities:

1. Emotion-Focused & Psychodynamic Therapy: to explore your emotional world, build emotional regulation skills, and explore relational patterns

2. Mindfulness-Based & Somatic Therapy: to help you stay grounded, feel safe, and be present in your body

3. Jungian-informed Therapy to dream interpretation. In addition, my work is trauma-informed, meaning your past experiences are honored with care, curiosity, and respect.

Lastly, as a native New Yorker and first-generation Latina, I bring a culturally responsive and anti-oppressive lens to therapy.

Outside of therapy, I find joy and balance through yoga and meditation, practices that gently inform and enrich my clinical work.

If you’re curious about working together, I warmly invite you to reach out and make an appointment.

I provide telehealth therapy to clients in New York, New Jersey, and Colorado, using the secure, HIPAA-compliant platform Doxy. This allows us to meet consistently and conveniently, without compromising the quality, connection, or depth of care.
