You may be used to being the person others depend on, the one who keeps going, solves problems, and holds things together. Yet behind that strength, you may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted. Perhaps you are navigating a loss, struggling with painful experiences, or noticing that familiar patterns keep showing up in your relationships. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Therapy can begin with an honest conversation about where you are and what you need.
My name is Rochely Terrón, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I am the founder of HOPE Virtual Counseling & Therapy, LLC, where I provide online counseling in English and Spanish. With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring both professional knowledge and a deep respect for the individual experiences that shape each person’s life.
My approach is empathetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I meet you where you are, while helping you move toward the changes that matter to you. You can speak openly about difficult feelings, conflicting thoughts, or experiences you have never felt comfortable sharing. My role is to listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and help you understand what may be keeping you stuck. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, healthier boundaries, and more effective ways of responding to life’s challenges.
As a Puerto Rican therapist, I understand how culture, language, family expectations, and identity can influence the way we experience emotional distress and seek support. For some people, taking care of their mental health means confronting messages they grew up hearing: keep your problems private, be strong, put family first, or simply push through. You may love your family and still need boundaries. You may feel proud of your culture while questioning expectations that no longer serve you. There is room in our work to explore these experiences without assuming that every Latino person or family shares the same story.
Being bilingual also allows me to support you in the language that feels most natural. Sometimes a feeling is easier to express in Spanish; other times, the right words come in English. You are welcome to use either language or move between both. I want you to be able to communicate your experience without feeling that you must translate yourself into someone else’s expectations.
I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and stressful life transitions. These experiences can affect sleep, concentration, motivation, confidence, and your ability to feel connected to others. Our work may involve understanding the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; recognizing patterns; practicing grounding and coping strategies; and finding manageable ways to approach situations you have been avoiding.
My clinical work includes cognitive behavioral therapy and practical strategies tailored to your needs. I value helping you develop tools you can use beyond our sessions, while also making space to understand the experiences behind your current struggles. We will discuss your goals together and revisit them as your needs change. Therapy should feel relevant to your life, whether you are seeking relief from symptoms, working through a specific situation, or trying to understand yourself more fully.
My professional background includes crisis intervention, school counseling, and work with individuals and families across different settings. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the many ways people cope with adversity. They have also taught me to look beyond a diagnosis and consider your relationships, responsibilities, environment, and strengths. You bring knowledge about your own life that is essential to the therapeutic process.
My practice is fully virtual, serving clients who are physically located in Florida or Georgia during their appointments. Online therapy offers a way to access support without traveling to an office. We meet through secure video sessions, and I encourage you to choose a private, comfortable space where you can speak freely.
Reaching out can feel vulnerable, especially if you are accustomed to handling things on your own or have had a disappointing experience with therapy. You are welcome to ask questions and share what you need from a therapist. My goal is to build a working relationship in which you feel heard, respected, and supported as you take meaningful steps forward.
