Cultural Identities

About Raquel Arellano-Jackson, LCSW

I am a Latina (Mexican/Puerto Rican) Licensed Clinical Social Worker registered in California to provide mental health therapy and clinical supervision. I’m so glad you’re here. My practice represents a place where you can finally slow down from the daily struggles of life and get to the bottom of what an authentic life looks like for you.

I specialize in working with individuals from BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and first-generation backgrounds who are done navigating personal identity, familial, or relational struggles by themselves. I work with you to identify goals, patterns of behavior, and personal strengths that can help you to move forward in a way that helps you to feel your best. I incorporate systemic and social justice lenses frequently into therapy to acknowledge and examine the pressures that keep you from fulfilling your authentic identity. I recognize the ways in which all of your identities intersect and work with you to explore your whole personhood. I hold hope for transformation when life gets too heavy and celebrate with you when obstacles are conquered.
