As the founder of Voice & Value Psychotherapy PC, I believe healing is never separate from the world we live in. So much of what we carry, from anxiety to grief to self-doubt, is shaped by systems of oppression, colonization, racism, and the pressure to assimilate. My work is grounded in liberation psychology, decolonizing practice, and a commitment to social justice, so I don’t treat your pain as a personal failing, but as an understandable response to environments never built with you in mind. From there, we draw on approaches that help you make meaning of your story, reconnect with your values, and move through what felt stuck, always centering the wisdom of your culture, community, and lived experience. I hold space for anger, grief, joy, and all that lies between, and I stand with LGBTQ+, immigrant, and BIPOC communities as an affirming, anti-racist therapist. Therapy isn’t about helping you fit into a system that was never made for you. It’s about reclaiming your voice, your worth, and your right to belong, exactly as you are. My doctoral research focused on acculturation stress and discrimination within Latine communities, and that lens continues to shape how I understand the ways culture, environment, and lived experience shape mental health. I work with adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the weight of stressors that often go unspoken. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and never judged.
