Hi, I’m Alix Perez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals from many different cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel respected, understood, and comfortable showing up as your authentic self. I recognize that our family dynamics, cultural values, and lived experiences influence how we see ourselves and the world, and I believe those experiences deserve to be acknowledged and honored in therapy.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Seeking Safety. I tailor therapy to your individual needs while building on your existing strengths. Whether you’re working through trauma, managing anxiety or depression, navigating relationships, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, my goal is to help you find meaningful insights while taking small, manageable steps toward lasting growth. I bring compassion, honesty, and a sense of humor into our work together because I believe healing happens when you feel safe enough to be yourself.
I provide virtual therapy through WellQor, making it convenient to access care from wherever you feel most comfortable. WellQor accepts most major insurance plans to help make therapy more accessible. If you think we may be a good fit, simply fill out the Get Started form on WellQor’s website. A member of WellQor’s friendly front office team will reach out to answer your questions and help you schedule your first appointment with me. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, self-discovery, and lasting change.
