Hola, and welcome! I’m Bea Adriana Sandoval, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families heal from trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and life’s many transitions. I provide therapy in English and Spanish and strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and accepted exactly as you are.
As a proud Latina and self-described cycle breaker, I understand the complexity of growing up within generational family patterns, navigating cultural expectations, and carrying responsibilities that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, relationship challenges, or the lasting effects of trauma, you don’t have to face it alone. My goal is to help you move beyond surviving and begin living a life rooted in authenticity, self-compassion, and meaningful connection.
I take a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique story and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and somatic interventions to help clients understand themselves more deeply while building practical tools for lasting healing.
I have a special passion for working with individuals recovering from eating disorders, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation challenges, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and the effects of intergenerational trauma.
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Trauma Studies from Pacific Oaks College. Throughout my clinical experience, I have worked with clients navigating complex trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and co-occurring mental health concerns. I believe healing is not simply about reducing symptoms—it’s about understanding your story with compassion, reconnecting with your strengths, and building a life that aligns with your values.
As a bilingual Latina therapist, I recognize how culture, family, identity, and lived experiences influence mental health. I am passionate about creating a culturally affirming space where clients can explore their emotions without judgment while learning healthier ways to care for themselves and their relationships.
A little about me outside the therapy room—I am incredibly proud of my Mexican heritage and have traveled to more than ten states throughout Mexico. You’ll almost always find me cheering for México during soccer matches, and I love any opportunity to speak my native language, español. When I’m not working, I enjoy unwinding with reality TV, appreciating the humor and absurdity it brings.
If you’re looking for a Latina therapist, bilingual therapist, eating disorder therapist, trauma therapist, DBT therapist, IFS therapist, anxiety therapist, or depression therapist in California, I’d be honored to support you on your healing journey. You deserve a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.
