Hi, I am Christina.
I’m a first-generation Mexican American, bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California, and the founder of Cafecito con Clarity Counseling & Psychotherapy Services.
I believe healing can begin with something as simple as an honest conversation over cafecito.
Born and raised in California’s San Fernando Valley and having spent several years living in Omaha, Nebraska, I experienced life in two very different communities. Those experiences broadened my perspective, deepened my appreciation for diverse backgrounds, and strengthened my connection to my own culture and roots.
Growing up in an immigrant family shaped who I am. It gave me a deep appreciation for the resilience, sacrifices, and strength that many individuals and families carry every day. I also understand how immigration-related uncertainty can create overwhelming stress, fear, and anxiety. It is an honor to support individuals and families during these challenging times, including providing comprehensive immigration psychological evaluations that help tell each person’s story with compassion, dignity, and clinical integrity.
Family has always been at the center of my life. I understand both the beauty and the complexity of growing up in a culture where being strong for others is often expected. I also know how difficult it can be to prioritize your own well-being while trying to care for everyone else.
Outside of my work, you’ll usually find me exploring new places, discovering a local coffee shop, spending time with my family, or enjoying a good crime documentary or scary movie. I believe every experience teaches us something new and helps us grow.
I hope that every person I meet feels welcomed, respected, and genuinely seen. Whether we’re sharing stories over a cup of coffee or navigating life’s most difficult moments together, I believe healing begins with authentic connection, compassion, and the courage to take that first step.
