I am a therapist, daughter, sister, wife, and mother — and like many of the clients I work with, I know what it means to carry many roles at once.
I was born the first child of Mexican immigrants who traveled throughout the United States, and that journey shaped me in ways I am still discovering. Moving through different parts of this country and across the border into Mexico gave me an early understanding of what it means to adapt, to belong in more than one world, and to find home within yourself when the ground keeps shifting beneath you.
As the eldest daughter in a single-parent household, I was called early to help raise my three younger siblings after my mother survived domestic violence. I became the first to graduate, the first to leave, the first to start a family. That experience of going first — before there was a roadmap, before anyone in my family had done it — taught me both the weight and the quiet privilege of blazing a trail. If you have ever felt that particular mix of pride and loneliness that comes with being the one who leads the way, I understand it deeply.
If any part of my story feels familiar, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
