Have you ever felt like your past is still controlling your present?
Maybe you’ve survived things that no one should have had to endure. Perhaps you find yourself constantly on edge, overthinking every situation, struggling to trust others, or feeling exhausted from carrying emotional pain that never seems to go away. You may look like you’re functioning on the outside while silently battling anxiety, shame, grief, fear, or memories that continue to follow you wherever you go.
If this sounds familiar, I want you to know that you are not alone.
My name is Melissa Gone, and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life’s most difficult experiences. I provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can finally put down the weight you’ve been carrying and begin the process of healing.
I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming. Many of the clients I work with have spent years trying to cope on their own. They often tell themselves they should be “over it by now,” only to find that their past experiences continue to affect their relationships, self-esteem, emotions, and daily life. The truth is that trauma changes the way we experience the world—but healing is possible.
Imagine waking up one morning and no longer feeling trapped by your past.
Imagine being able to trust yourself again.
Imagine feeling calm instead of constantly anxious.
Imagine being able to set healthy boundaries without guilt, enjoy your relationships without fear, and move through life without carrying the burden of old wounds everywhere you go.
Healing does not mean forgetting what happened. It means learning how to reclaim your life from it.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered around your unique needs and goals. Together, we will work to understand your experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and help you create the life you deserve.
You have survived so much already. You do not have to continue walking this journey alone.
When you’re ready, I would be honored to support you as you take the next step toward healing, hope, and lasting change.
